TRÓS Sponsors Greek Independence Day Celebration at Jersey City City Hall
Yesterday, TRÓS proudly sponsored a special event at Jersey City City Hall in honor of the 204th Greek Independence Day. The celebration brought together members of the Greek-American community and local officials to commemorate the rich heritage, culture, and enduring spirit of Greece. A highlight of the event was the traditional Greek flag raising ceremony, symbolizing unity and pride among Greek Americans in Jersey City.
We were honored to be part of such a meaningful day that recognized the contributions of Greek Americans and celebrated the deep roots of Hellenic culture in our city. As a Greek-owned business, TRÓS is committed to supporting our community and preserving the traditions that inspire our cuisine and hospitality every day.

What is Greek Independence Day?
Greek Independence Day, celebrated each year on March 25th, marks the beginning of Greece’s war of independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. The day not only honors the fight for freedom but also reflects the values of resilience, democracy, and national pride. For Greeks around the world, it’s a time to celebrate their history, honor their ancestors, and share their vibrant culture with future generations.
